Build Your Network through Thanksgiving

It’s that time of the year again where U.S. and Canadian citizens celebrate what we call “Thanksgiving.”  While having its roots in the migration of the Pilgrims to America, it still symbolizes a time to reflect on all that is good in our lives and make a declaration of thankfulness for that good.

If you have spent time this year trying to build up your network, now is a great time and opportunity for you to use this wonderful holiday to assist you.  Write down a list of all of the people you’ve connected with this year.  Now, set aside an hour (or more) of your time to send each person a quick thank you message.  It doesn’t have to be fancy, nor does it have to be long – it just has to be!

Let them know how you enjoyed meeting them, appreciated their advice, appreciated their business, or how you are grateful for their hard work.  The main thing to remember is sincere gratitude can take you far, and if the people in your life have helped you in the past, imagine what a little display of gratitude now will cause them to do in the future?

For all of the wonderful people in my life and for those I have yet to meet, I say thank you.  Thank you for your words of kindness, support, listening ear, prayers, laughs, tips, trust in me to help you, great meals, and every other kind gesture you’ve bestowed upon me.  When I stop and think about all of the wonderful people, things and experiences I’ve had this past year, because of all of you I’m a blessed woman indeed.

Happy Thanksgiving!Slide1

Until next time….
